Candlelight Walk for Missing Children

One child is reported missing every 9 minutes in Canada.  An average of 60,000 every year.

Thank you for helping us light their way home at the 2009 Candlelight Walk for Missing Children!

On September 26th, 2009, approximately 200 people gathered together to help us light the night at the Candlelight Walk for Missing Children.  Our first annual walk took place at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Thanks to the dedicated volunteer work of  searching families in the area, this year’s Candlelight Walk was a meaningful step in continuing the search for missing children in our country. Thank you to all the sponsors, donors, volunteers and walkers who made this such a special and touching event.

The event raised over $45,000 in funds and much needed awareness for the Missing Children Society of Canada in the lower mainland.   Congratulations to Linda Monds, our top fundraising individual who won the top prize of two round trip tickets to any WestJet scheduled destination!
