Support our "Missing Children Searchers" team in the 2010 GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon.
The Missing Children Society of Canada is proud to be chosen as a benefitting charity for this year's GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon Charity Pledge Program. Funds donated to MCSC will support our frontline investigative programs.
Every year, over 55,000 children are reported missing in Canada. That's the equivalent of 150 children every day. By supporting our team in the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon, you can help us bring the children home.
There is no fee to join our team, but we ask that you raise pledges on our behalf to support our search for missing children. All team members who raise $500 or more will be entered in our draw to win 2 return tickets to any WestJet destination!
Step 1: Register with our "Missing Children Searchers" Team
Register Online: By registering online you will be able to:
- Customize your own donation page with a personal message and/or photograph
- Set up a customized donation page for your own team in support of the Missing Children Searchers!
- Send emails to friends, family and co-workers asking for their support
- Track your progress and see who has donated!
- Record cash & check donations which you receive in person

Register by mail or fax: You can also register by completing the registration form on the back of our team brochure.
Once registered, you will be sent a Team Kit either through email, fax or mail. The Team Kit will provide you with further information about MCSC and offer tips for raising pledges.
(Please note that registering for our Charity Pledge Program team does not automatically register you for the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon. To register for a race event in the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon, please visit www.runvictoriamarathon.com. )
Step 2: Collect pledges
We appreciate you registering for our team and raising money to help continue the search for missing children. Once registered, you can use our online fundraising tool to raise pledges. You can also collect pledges using an official GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon pledge form. (Please contact us to request these forms if you require them.)
- Charitable tax receipts are automatically issued for donations of $20 or more.
- Please ensure that cheques are made payable to the Missing Children Society of Canada.
- Do not send cash donations in the mail. Consider depositing the funds in your account and submitting the equivalent using a credit card or cheque, but still indicate the donor’s information on your pledge form.
Print copies of our poster to put up around your work, school and community! (formatted to print on legal size paper)
Step 3: Join us at the event!
Join us at the event and get together with our 'Missing Children Searchers' team! We invite you to visit our tent at the Marathon, and take part in our Candlelight Vigil following the event. Stay tuned for more details about our event day activities.
