Trevor Clubine and Juliana Moncada, parents of five year old Kody, were separated in 2002. Since then Kody has lived with his mother and sees his father regularly.
In January 2005, Ms. Moncada received permission from the courts to take Kody to her homeland of Columbia, but she had to return to Canada no later than April 15th 2005. Unfortunately, Ms Moncada failed to return Kody to Canada and by October 2005 Mr. Clubine realized that Ms. Moncada had no intentions of returning Kody.
Mr. Clubine was referred to the Missing Children Society of Canada in November, 2005 by Maxim Research and Consulting Corporation who were involved in assisting Mr. Clubine in getting his son back. Eventually - with the assistance of the Missing Children Society of Canada, Ministry of the Attorney General for Ontario, Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Canadian Embassy in Columbia, York Regional Police Services and Maxim Research & Consulting Corporation - Ms. Moncade returned voluntarily with Kody and father and son were reunited on December 16, 2005.
Mr. Clubine and his family are looking forward to spending a great Christmas with Kody.
