Investigations

Our in-house team of former law enforcement professionals actively searches for missing children.

The Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) is the only non-profit organization in Canada that utilizes an in-house team of former law enforcement to actively search for missing children.

Our team of investigators work closely with federal and municipal police agencies nationally and internationally while conducting frontline, hands-on investigation and search activities. All services are provided to families free of charge.

We support the search by:

  • Providing families with ongoing investigative support and advocacy – no matter how long the investigation has gone unsolved;
  • Working in conjunction with police to determine the most effective uses for our Search Program tools (Most Valuable Network, CodeSearch and Marketwired);
  • Providing a 24-hour confidential phone line for tips regarding missing children cases.

The Missing Children Society of Canada assists with Stranger Abductions, Parental Abductions, Disappearances, and Endangered Youth cases.

  • In order for MCSC to be able to assist with a case there must be proof that the case has been reported to police, such as a case file number, and MCSC will always work in conjunction with police on all support cases.
  • In the case of a Parental Abduction, the abduction must have taken place within Canada, to Canada or from Canada. A current custody order must be in place stating that the searching parent has legal access/custody of the child.
