Volunteering at or attending one of our events is a great way to support our work.
We are very grateful to have supporters across the country who assist us with our fundraising efforts. If you are planning an event and would like to support Missing Children Society of Canada please contact Raquel Brown at 905-730-5217 or [email protected]
Welcome to the 6th annual CHOP THE TOP! For those who don’t know, around the end of summer our beloved Dexter Charles starts to painstakingly grow his flow with the ultimate goal of raising awareness and funds in support of his favorite charity Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC). Dexter is really motivated this year and is upping his goal of funds raised to $15, 000 – so let’s help him get there! This is also Dexter’s last year so even MORE reason to help him reach his goal. To help sweeten the pot, WestJet has generously donated two round trip tickets ANYWHERE they fly! We all know “winter is coming” or has in Calgary so this could make the perfect winter getaway, plus how can you say no to this face?
So we’d like to graciously invite you to participate in this year’s CHOP THE TOP for a chance to be Dexter’s personal hairstylist and/or surrealist facial hair stylist, shave, dye and tie whatever style your little creative heart desires! To show his appreciation of your radical creativity, Dexter will showcase your masterpiece for an entire week—yikes!

Have you heard of GivingTuesday? Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This is where GivingTuesday begins. GivingTuesday is a new global movement for giving and volunteering that happens each year on the Tuesday after Black Friday. It’s a day where charities, companies and individuals come together to support important causes like missing children. Missing Children Society of Canada is a GivingTuesday partner! Our partner profile page allows supporters to donate directly to us through CanadaHelps.org. On this GivingTuesday, we are hoping to get more of our Canadian community to register at no cost for MCSC rescu. This ensures that more eyes will be on the streets when a child goes missing which means a greater chance of that missing child being found faster! Visit here for more information and to register.
MCSC rescu is a web app brought to you by Esri Canada & MCSC that will help find missing children in Canada faster by enabling the public to be a part of the search at no cost. Users of the app can view information on missing children in Canada, subscribe to receive SMS text alerts on new cases in their area and submit tips on existing cases.
We are also hoping to raise funds to help our efforts of searching for missing children and helping to return them to a safe environment. Please join us in #GivingHope to our families, our missing children and our communities. Help us find missing children faster. Please click here to donate to our cause.
The Missing Children Society of Canada is extremely grateful to be one of the charities supported by the Calgary Police Rodeo. This event includes a pub night kickoff event in April and the Rodeo in August. This year’s rodeo was held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at the Cochrane Rodeo Grounds. In addition to the rodeo, this family-orientated event includes a children’s carnival, exhibitions and concessions, while in the evening, cowboys and adult spectators enjoy a barn dance featuring country music entertainment. The Alberta Sheriff’s Branch is hosting another Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday August 17, 2019 at the Strathmore Golf Club and they are supporting us!! In 2013, the Alberta Sheriff’s raised $5000.00 for MCSC and over $30.000 the previous 5 years. We are so thankful for their generosity in helping us bring missing children home. If you would like more information on how to register, please contact Brenda Mantle at [email protected]
