MCSC received a donation from Arbor Memorial Foundation to support our mandate to help return missing
children to a safe environment.
Amanda Pick, MCSC CEO, said, "Thanks to the generosity of donors such as Arbor Memorial, we can continue our important work of finding missing children. And that work was especially evident this week in Lindsey, ON, with the location of two missing teens."
The two missing teens from Sudbury were found in Lindsay last week by a local resident who had seen the alert about them on the MCSC rescu app. The app works! Help the Child Search Network expand by downloading the MCSC rescu app. www.rescu.mcsc.ca
“This week’s incident truly demonstrates the value of the MCSC rescu app," said Chief Mark Mitchell, Kawartha Lakes Police Services. "An alert from the app led to a tip from a local resident, and that tip led to the recovery of the two missing teens.
"It is tangible evidence that the MCSC rescu app works and will only get better as more Canadians download the app and the Child Search Network expands. Everyone can play a role in community safety and well-being, and by choosing to download the MCSC rescu app, you can be part of this important initiative.”
