Penny Lane Transition Home 

Penny Lane Transition Home, part of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, offers temporary shelter and support services for at-risk youth ages 13-18. The home encourages family reconciliation or independent living through guidance and resources.

Friendship Lelum Aboriginal Youth Safe House

Friendship Lelum offers a safe house program for Indigenous youth ages 12-18 needing immediate short-term shelter. The facility provides a safe environment, and supportive services aimed at helping youth navigate challenging times.

Covenant House Vancouver’s Crisis Program offers short-term emergency shelter for youth aged 16-24, providing a safe space along with meals, counseling, and a range of support services. The program also includes case management to help connect youth to long-term housing and other community resources.

Covenant House Vancouver’s Drop in Centre provides services to young people ages 16-24. Click here for the drop in schedule. Directions Youth Shelter

 A 12-bed, emergency shelter for youth ages 19 to 24 experiencing homelessness or at risk. The low-barrier shelter provides basic needs like meals, showers, and laundry, along with one-on-one peer support and counseling services. Open daily from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., with an intake lottery at 8 p.m.

A voluntary, temporary shelter with nine beds for high-risk youth aged 16 to 18. It offers a safe environment and helps connect youth with health, social, and housing resources. Staff provide ongoing support for personal stability, with stays tailored to each youth's needs. Intake is available 24/7.

Marc's Place offers a safe, supportive short-term crisis shelter for youth aged 13 to 15 who are at risk of homelessness, street involvement, or family conflict. The program provides a positive, non-judgmental environment focused on helping youth create safety plans, mediate family relationships, and receive referrals to other community services as needed. It operates as a 24-hour facility with a maximum stay of seven days, offering meals and assistance with transportation when required. Youth must be referred by a Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) social worker.
